"Connections and New Directions," the 16th Annual New England Conference on Gifted Education will take place October 21-23, 2010 at the Hartford Hilton Hotel in Hartford, CT. Hosted by the Connecticut Association for the Gifted and in partnership with AEGUS and SENG (Supporting Emotional Needs of the Gifted), the conference will feature programs and sessions that forward the mission to grow gifted teaching and learning, guidance, parenting, advocacy and leadership, as well as reflect the vital links between current thinking on gifted learner needs, and how all learning communities can promote new directions that will advance connective thinking and secure the recognition and support of the country's gifted youth.

Liz Pape, President and CEO of Virtual High School Global Consortium
Yolande Spears, Vice President, Education and Community Relations, Bushnell Center for the Performing Arts, Hartford, CT
Saturday Mini-Keynotes will include Dr. James Webb, founder of SENG and lead author of numerous books, including A Parent's Guide to Gifted Chlldren.
A children's program will be offered on Saturday on- and off-site.
Thursday "Action Labs" will be held at off-site locations.
The SENG Model Parent Group Facilitator Training will also be offered during the conference.
